Global Spectrum, operators of the Sioux Falls Convention Center, today promoted Jill Hericks to Director of Sales and Marketing. Hericks has been with the Convention Center since 2008.

“We are so happy to promote Jill from within,” said Global Spectrum’s Kraig Pomrenke, General Manager at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. “She has proven to be a respected team member and will be a great leader of our Sales and Marketing department. Jill brings several years of valuable industry experience and has a proven track record when dealing with all types of events.”

Hericks joined Global Spectrum as a Sales Manager with a market focus of weddings, associations, social events, military, education and fraternal events. A native of Hoven, South Dakota, Hericks joined Global Spectrum in 2008. Hericks attended South Dakota State University where she received her Bachelors in Hotel & Hospitality Management with a minor in Business. Prior to joining Global Spectrum, Hericks worked as an Executive Meeting Manager for Embassy Suites in Greenville, South Carolina and Manager of Executive Meetings and Events at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In September of 2011, Hericks received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation by the Convention Industry Council. Hericks is also active with local Business Networking International Chapter Referrals Plus, serving as the 2011 President and 2012 Secretary and Treasurer.
