Sioux Falls, SD – July 25, 2008- Fifteen members of the Global Spectrum and Ovations Food Services staff at the Sioux Falls Convention Center will join hundreds more Sioux Falls residents for the 2008 Relay for Life 12-hour walk taking place at the Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls today, Friday, July 25 and tomorrow, Saturday, July 26.
To support the cancer research of the Relay for Life program, staff at the Sioux Falls Convention Center had various contests to raise money for this charity event. In addition to a friendly Guitar Hero contest, staff members were able to participate in a “Wear Jeans to Work” program to raise money for the Relay for Life campaign.
“We are looking forward to joining the community in support of Relay for Life this Friday night,” said Scott Kavanaugh, General Manager of the Sioux Falls Convention Center. “Our company is committed to supporting and participating with the local communities, especially in charitable functions.”
Global Spectrum, operators of the Sioux Falls Convention Center, work in conjunction with Ovations Food Services who are the official caterers of the facility. The Sioux Falls Convention Center offers over 100,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space including a 16,800 square foot ballroom and twelve breakout rooms.
