Sioux Falls, SD April 16, 2008- With 78 events and nearly 70,000 in attendance, the Sioux Falls Convention Center is off to a great 2008. Global Spectrum, operators of the Sioux Falls Convention Center along with Ovations Food Services, official caterers of the facility, compiled some facts and statistics for the first 100 days of 2008.
About 70,000 people number of people who attended an event at the Sioux Falls Convention Center, which is 40 percent of the population of Minnehaha County.
Over 1,200 candy bars and donuts sold we are not even going to count calories here!
2,448 If you lined up the number of hotdogs sold it would add up to 1,224 ft, which is the distance from the Empire State Building observation deck to the street level.
1,350 bags The amount of popcorn sold at our concessions stands would fit in a 750 sq. ft. apartment.
1,469 The number of pounds of BBQ beef used in sandwiches sold is equal to the weight of 3 adult cows.
657 gallons of soda equals the number of gallons of gasoline a Honda Civic would need to drive around the world (24,902 miles).
720 gallons of Coffee enough to give every adult resident of Pierre a free cup of coffee.
1,536 rolls of toilet paper the height of which when stacked chin to head could duplicate the Mt. Rushmore monument twice!
